2019 Mid-Season UPdate

Here is an update on our season here at Healing Towers.  This year like years in the past we have been able to witness life changing transformations, that have brought happiness into the hearts of the veterans that we serve.  It is so nice to watch these Veterans as they begin to smile more and more as the trip goes on.  By the end of the trip we see a transformation in every single attendee.  Of course, we know that bringing them into our family that they will always have a direct link to help them throughout the hard times that many will still encounter.  This place is such a large steppingstone for them and a solid foundation of nothing but great memories.

The first group of 5 groups were filled with smiling faces and big fish.  These groups were amazed at the sheer beauty of Alaska.  The scenery slowly washed away bad memories for the folks dealing with Post Traumatic Stress and helped start Post Traumatic Growth by replacing some bad memories with something positive.  It is now our job to stay in touch with them and keep them busy doing something at home.

We have five more trips to conduct and we know that each one will find that the slow pace here in Alaska will give them a chance to look forward and hopefully dull some of the old memories and injuries that haunt them daily.  We want to thank you so much for your much-needed support.  We will forever be grateful.

  1. I simply couldn’t leave your web site before suggesting that I really loved the usual information an individual provide in your guests? Is going to be back continuously in order to check for new posts, thanks!

    To Garry Morfit,
Dear Garry I have come across ‘Healing Towers’ by pure accident.
You may not remember me but it has been more than 40 years since we worked together at The Air Affair in Vancouver B.C. where I ran the Bush Pilot dining room. I am at present viewing videos of Healing Towers & Healing Waters, your fishing trips and wonderful experiences in Alaska.
Congratulations! I have nothing but praise for what you accomplish!
My best regards to you and Susan, if this lady is the same we met at the Air Affair I do remember.
